Here's the  web definition for a cheese cake:

My internet was not working for two days and I was getting so restless! Finally the internet guy came and fixed it today. :D

2 Days back me and my friend Akshay, decided to go to a creek that can be seen from my balcony to click some pictures. We didn't know the directions to get there though. So we just started walking in the direction of the creek...and ended up in a wasteland! And there was no way ahead. So yeah, the plan was a flop. :| :P But we still did click some pictures. :D

This is Akshay. :D With his camera and his new telefocal lens!

I randomly clicked this picture of a street dog and later  when I got home and saw it, I realized the dog was drinking the dirty mud water. :(

And we were hoping it would stay sunny so we could click more pictures...

.....but soon grey clouds came along and it started to rain. :(

Later, me and my friend Chirag, we played carrom. I hardly played though. I was just clicking pictures. Haha. :D

Is watching cooking shows making me fat? :(

Now that it's vacation time, apart from white collar and castle and blah blah, I also love watching cooking shows like:
    • Master chef Australia (the junior master chef was oh-so-amazing*_*)
    • Fabulous Cakes (Ah, my favourite of the lot)
    • Gordon's Great Escape
and many other shows which I just watch randomly.
I always used to wonder, "What if I gain fat by just looking at this amazing food they're making? Like some hormones get activated and something." Till now I just wondered. But today I confirmed that 'something' does happen. Maybe I do gain fat by just looking at these cooking shows. :(

As the experts would say it:
"We all know,, that looking at, smelling or even thinking about food can cause us to start salivating and trigger digestive enzymes. It is not unreasonable to conclude that some people could indeed become fat simply by looking at high-sugar foods such as slices of chocolate cake. The visual cue may well send a signal to the pancreas to get the insulin ready - and too much insulin, as basic science tells us, is what makes us fat."

I used to go for an art class few years back and the teacher who guided me had once asked to do an assignment. He said, when I would go through the assignment after doing it for a year or so, I can understand what kind of person I am. Moreover someone who doesn't know you at all, can probably know a lot about you by looking at your assignment just once!
Here are the steps to do the assignment:

The one above, is a small collage of my such book. I haven't yet completed one year but I do it once in a while when I find time. And till now, without realizing, I have stuck quite a lot of pictures of kids, elegant     dresses, scenery, food and cartoons. And it makes sense. I love all of these things. A perfect quote to explain this:

" Quite literally you see what you want to see; and you see your own thoughts and emotional attitudes."

So it's my first post. Yay! It's the 26th of June 5pm exact. And this is Shweta from India. :D
I wanted to write. And what better place to write than here? A blog. :D
I got a Canon 550d 3 weeks back. And I've been experimenting with it, trying to get a hang of it. So I wanted to do some night shots. I went on the 23rd floor of my building, to this huge balcony which welcomes anyone from our building. I took my tripod stand along. And my little sister. Haha. :D
I think city lights are just gorgeous. I just CAN'T get enough of them. I'll be practicing night shots whenever I get a chance to (though rainy season is starting so I'm not sure it'll be soon enough :[ ).
